Scholarships

Eagle River Credit Union Scholarship program recognizes the contribution of our community builders of tomorrow. The growth of Eagle River Credit Union exemplifies the achievements of people working together in their own communities. We hope to encourage those qualities of good citizenship and co-operation through this scholarship program.

Five scholarships of $500.00 each will be awarded to students who are entering their first year of studies at post-secondary institution.

  1. One scholarship valued at $500.00 will be awarded in the region from L'Anse au Clair to Red Bay.
  2. One scholarship valued at $500.00 will be awarded in the region from Lodge Bay to Cartwright.
  3. One scholarship valued at $500.00 will be awarded in the region from Goose Cove to Rocky Harbour.
  4. One scholarship valued at $500.00 will be awarded in the region from Lake Melville - North.
  5. One scholarship valued at $500.00 will be awarded in the region of Deer Lake/Hamden/Pollards Point.

The awards will be made to those students who, during their high school program, have demonstrated academic ability, industry and promise, and who have achieved high academic grades in seven Level III courses, which are subject to final grades. In addition to other criteria, if all else is equal, financial need may be taken into consideration in determining an award.

Application must be completed by the student and returned to Eagle River Credit Unionon or before September 30th.

Atlantic Credit Unions Bursary Program

Atlantic Central Credit Union provides fifty (50) $500 bursaries to community college students each year.  This program is delviered under the banner of Atlantic Credit Unions Bursary Program on behalf of New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador credit unions.  The community colleges participating are:  NSCC, NBCC, Holland College and College of the North Atlantic.
