Eagle River Credit Union Scholarship

The Eagle River Credit Union Scholarship program recognizes the contribution of our community builders of tomorrow. The growth of Eagle River Credit Union exemplifies the achievements of people working together in their own communities. We hope to encourage those qualities of good citizenship and co-operation through this scholarship program.

There are five scholarship awards each valued at $500 and the application deadline is September 30th of each year.

To be eligible, you must:

  • Ensure the application is forwarded to the attention of the Eagle River Credit Union Scholarship Committee
  • Be a Canadian citizen
  • Apply the award toward expenses for full-time training at any accredited post-secondary institution (technical or university)
  • Be the child of a member, or a member, of Eagle River Credit Union
  • Be a graduate of a high school during the spring of the current academic year

There are five entry-level scholarships available.  One each for students from:

  • L'Anse au Clair to Red Bay
  • Lodge Bay to Cartwright (and Black Tickle)
  • St. Anthony to Rocky Harbour
  • Lake Melville North
  • Deer Lake/Hampden/Pollards Point

Atlantic Credit Unions Bursary Program

Atlantic Central Credit Union provides fifty (50) $500 bursaries to community college students each year.  This program is delviered under the banner of Atlantic Credit Unions Bursary Program on behalf of New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador credit unions.  The community colleges participating are:  NSCC, NBCC, Holland College and College of the North Atlantic.
